Here is a picture of my new bag design – it’s a shoulder bag measuring 14″ wide at the widest point and 13.5″ deep. It has a single internal pocket and is really easy to make, with a fun bird on branch machine applique design on the front. I have discovered however, that it is not really easy to think of a name for the pattern. I had the same problem this time last year when trying to think of a name for this bag…
and it was eventually solved very successfully with a lot of help from blog readers, who thought up the pattern name. It’s called the “Sweet Pleat” Shoulder Tote and it’s one of my favourites.
So I thought I’d ask for your assistance once more in thinking up a name for my new bag design. If you would like to help, please could you leave a comment below suggesting a name?
The winner will receive a kit containing everything they need to make their own bag, including pattern, canvas, Liberty silk for the lining, printed fabric bunting flags, fabric selection for applique, magnetic closure and little vintage button for the birdie’s eye. I thought of Sweet Tweet too, keeping to a theme, lol. How about Bunting Bag? Our own UK Bunting is a rather plain little bird but there are some really bright coloured ones on there.
we're all really in the zone together, aren't we, with sweet tweet (which was my first thought) etc 🙂

I sent you an email, but in case you don't get it. Sadly, my first thought was to go with the theme and suggest Sweet Tweet too. So how about Flags Out for Summer, or Branching Out for Summer, or Bird, Bunting and Branch Bag.

I was going with something simple like summer swag but that is way too uninteresting. It's a beautiful bag though and I'm sare you'll find exactly the right name.
Like many others, I first hit on Sweet Tweet, which rhymes nicely with Sweet pleat, but you might also like Summer Tweets, which links the bird and summer, but could also be a play on Summer treats.
Anyway, it is a lovely bag regardless of what you name it.
