Meet the Maker: Frances Bluebird

Isn’t that just such a wonderful name for a business.  Frances Bluebird … I just love it.  Angela Ryan is the very talented face behind the bluebird and in this month’s Bustle & Sew Magazine she tells us that her business is named for her grandmother who was always making beautiful things with her hands.  Indeed Angela spent most of her childhood at her grandmother’s house learning how to stitch and create.

I just adore these cuffs – I haven’t seen anything quite like them elsewhere and I love discovering new ways to use embroidery so that’s a double plus for me!  They’re available in the Frances Bluebird Etsy shop

Along with lots of other beautiful hand-stitched goodies.  Frances Bluebird is a small (though extremely lovely) business so Angela doesn’t have her own website.  She does have a pretty Facebook page

And I’m sure she’d love it if you were to pop over and say “Hello!”  Thanks so much Angela for letting us feature Frances Bluebird as one of this month’s “Meet the Makers.”
