Meet the Maker: Sew Mice

I think mice are rather nice goes the poem – and I think Sew Mice is really very nice indeed!  SewMice is a small business which sells a mix of homewares from beautifully delicate hand-stitched animal and bow brooches to oh SO sweet handmade bunny rabbits and everything in between!  We were very lucky to be able to chat to business owner Laura Ann Cope in the December issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine.

Laura runs Sew Mice from a small home studio in the West Midlands with her three furry helpers – cats Betty & Margaret and the new addition to the team, a very playful puppy called Matilda.

Laura tells us that her bunnies have been by far her most popular product and are definitely her favourite too.  She launched them in January of this year, and reports they’ve been selling like hot cakes (or even at this time of year, hot mince pies) ever since!  She feels that there’s nothing quite as uplifting as hitting the jackpot with one of your handmade items, that you’ve put so much time and care into making, and knowing that other people share the same amount of love for your product.  I so totally agree Laura – and also – just visited your Facebook page where I see there’s a lot more love in the air, and congratulations are most definitely in order …..

Ahhhhh … congratulations to Laura and her brand new fiance!  You can visit Laura and Sew Mice on her Facebook page and check out her Etsy shop too – there’s still time to pick up one of her lovely bunnies before Christmas.
