Bloom & Grow Giveaway

Yesterday was a lovely day – Rosie and I went along to the bridal shop for her final fitting and her dress is absolutely perfect.  It is the most delicious confection of …. aha – you thought I was going to give the secret away didn’t you?  But no… I promise to show you lots and lots of wedding photos afterwards, but until then the only thing I’m giving away is a Bloom and Grow embroidery kit.

I only had a very limited edition of these available for purchase (I was unable to obtain any more of this fabric), but I did keep just one or two back – until now…..

Yes, I have one of my Bloom and Grow embroidery kits to giveaway to a lucky blog reader.  The kit contains all the ingredients you need to create the “Sound of Music” inspired stitchery above – all you need to add is a hoop and some lovely stitching time.

If you ‘d like the chance to win a Bloom and Grow kit then all you need to do is to leave a comment below.  I’m planning to put together some more Bustle & Sew kits over the summer months and would love to hear your ideas for the first few using some of my designs … would you like more embroidery or perhaps a softie kit?  It would be wonderful if you had any suggestions if you could include them in your comment.

The giveaway is open for the whole of this week, until midnight BST on Friday 20th June.  The winner will be chosen by random selection and I will post worldwide. Good luck everyone!  Sorry giveaway now closed.

I think softies kits would be great, sometimes it’s hard to get the fabric you like and we love.

On the idea board of suggestions for kits…how about small kits for small embroideries to add to small projects, like change totes, a shirt sleeve, a pocket apron, a purse pocket on the inside of the purse. Love all your designs…keep inspiring us. Love your blog, thanks for sharing your little corner of the world!

I really enjoy your blog and all your patterns. I would love to see a kit for one of your bags or a tea cozy. Maybe with appliqué and embroidery. Love your sunflower you did.

Reply

I think softie kits would be a great idea. I’d love to make one but it needs such a small amount of fabric that I don’t fancy buying more than I need in case I don’t use it, so a kit would solve that problem. It would also be good if you don’t live near to the shops..

Dear Helen,

I have just discovered your site and blog and within hours it seems, there is a give away. I love hand embroidery and spend too much of my spare time doing it, at the expense of the cleaning, tidying, washing … I am inspired, by your patterns and ideas to try my hand at appliqué now, but in the meantime would love to practise my skills on the Bloom and Grow kit #Edelweiss rules!
Great to have discovered you – thank you for your inspiration and hope the big day goes well.
Have a great week from a sunny Barcelona!

I would love the chance to win, I think a softie giveaway in the future would be great as the materials you use are sometimes hard to find a close enough match to re-create the look you have designed.

I have only just found your website today, and how lovely it is. I am returning to sewing after many years of absence, and am in the process of acquiring fabrics at present, I seem to have a rather long list of things I want to try – isn’t it always the way.

Hello Helen, I love your Bloom and Grow embroidery, especially the different styles of letters and would love to win a kit, the fabric is perfect. Last Christmas, I made a fabric book cover for my granddaughter and embroidered Bloom and be happy. Always look forward to receiving your magazine, you are so very inspiring. I would love it if you could at some stage include a full alphabet to embroider and perhaps a cute vintage style kitten embroidery design. Looking forward to seeing the wedding pics, have a lovely day.

I would love to win this stitchery….I always sang “Edelweiss” to my two oldest grandchildren at bedtime, and now I am singing it to my youngest 3 year old granddaughter as she snuggles down for bed. It is such a beautiful song, and your stitchery just brings it to life. Thank you for sharing it!

When I saw this pattern this pattern my stomach gave a little flip. The Edelweiss song from the Sound of Music has always held a very special place in my heart. It is such a poignant part of the film, and was the tune played by a beautiful soft bunny soother I bought for my baby. Whether I win the kit or not I will be making this beautiful embroidery.

I would love to see some softie kits for your give-aways, but if the embroidery kits are this beautiful it really doesn’t matter.

Keep up the good work Helen. It was lovely to see one of your projects in a recent magazine I bought. It was like spotting a friend’s picture. I wanted to point you out and say “I know who that is” to anyone who would listen 🙂

I have never done any embroidery but seeing this has made me want to have a go. The school holidays start soon so it would be lovely to sit in the garden listening to the birds and learning a new craft. 🙂

Hi Helen
Absolutely love your e magazine after recently finding you via Amazon. Although I constantly sew and quilt having my own purpose built space, after reading your blogs I started to pick up on embroidery again after many years,. I found your simple but effective designs inspiring and easy to follow though I do put my own spin on them. I recently finished your sailor design on two cushions, one for dad for Fathers Day as dad used to be a sailor. Loving your wedding ideas, makes me wish I was planning one too, such lovely ideas, your daughter is very lucky to have you!
