I love autumn – it may possibly be my favourite season – along with spring, summer and winter too haha!! But it is without doubt one of the loveliest times of the year as the trees and hedgerows change colour from summer greens to autumnal reds, golds and oranges too, whilst across the fields and woodlands it’s time to go hunting for mushrooms.
This little hoop celebrates this beautiful time of year, with two Fly Agaric toadstools – beloved of fairies, mice and all kinds of fairytale characters – as well as berries and sprays of leaves, and the well-known quote from William Cullen Bryant too.
Stitches used are back stitch, French knots, long and short stitch, satin stitch, split stitch and stem stitch.
Inside your kit you’ll discover a nice quality cotton panel pre-printed with the design, all the DMC floss you’ll need to complete your project, a needle, and full instructions for working the design. It’s sized to fit a 7″ hoop, but this is the one item we don’t include as to do so pushes up not only the cost of the kit but postage too.
I have checked and 7″ hoops are readily available online across the world. Be sure to choose a good quality one, even though they’re a little more expensive, cheap bamboo ones really aren’t very nice to work with.
