The dishwasher may be an almost universal presence in kitchens these days, but there will always be a place for the tea towel – drying those items that aren’t dishwasher safe, wrapping around hands when
carrying hot dishes (and you can’t find your oven gloves in a hurry) – they’re still a useful item. And they
can be pretty too as these two cactus-themed examples prove.
The embroidery is very straightforward and I have trimmed my towels with a pretty fabric that’s carried
up the back to cover the back of the stitching too.
