Description
Christmas is such a special, joyful time full of friends, family and festivities. This little hoop celebrates the joy of the season and, though it looks perhaps a little complicated, is actually surprisingly easy. It could definitely be attempted by a confident beginner.
The central wreath is worked in a single strand of floss, and the letters (loving the candy-cane effect!) are simply split stitch with diagonal straight stitches over the top.
Stitches used are back stitch, detached chain stitch, feather stitch, fly stitch, French
knots, satin stitch and split stitch. Instructions are included to work the less familiar stitches – feather stitch, French knots, detached chain stitch and fly stitch.
Shown mounted in 8” x 5” oval hoop.
Pattern includes DMC floss requirements, full stitching instructions and full sized templates (both the right way round and reversed to suit your preferred method of transfer).
