Description
Flora is the prettiest little Elephant Softie created from a beautiful vintage cotton fabric featuring peonies and jasmine on a white background. This 1930’s fabric is in wonderful condition, freshly laundered and pressed – and of course in very limited supply – I have just enough to offer a dozen or so kits so you can make your own little Flora just like mine! She’d make a wonderful baby shower gift, if you can bear to give her away that is!
Flora’s tail is handmade twine that Rosie and I have twisted from long cotton strips. She is completely machine stitched, apart from closing the stuffing gap and attaching her ears. Our kit includes everything you need to make Flora except for the stuffing and thread for your sewing machine. To include stuffing would have pushed up postage and packing costs and it’s incredibly easy to find at home, simply de-stuff a cheap cushion pad and use the polyfibre from that.
Your kit contains:
- Vintage cotton fabric (exactly the same as the photo, though the pattern placement will vary according to the piece cut)
- black beads for eyes
- pale pink felt for ears and under body
- handmade twine for tail
- full size templates
- full-colour pattern with step by step instructions to assemble Flora.
Flora is 9″ tall and 11″ long.
