Description
This is the second in my new series of girls in stitches – Alice was the first and now I’m pleased to introduce Freya with her friend the polar bear. Freya and Bear are stargazing on a starry winter’s night though it looks as though Bear is turning towards his little friend to better hear something she’s trying to tell him.
The design features a simple applique shape – Bear is cut from white felt (applique template included), and two different shades of blue are joined together before stitching begins.
Please be aware that this is not a beginner’s project, but is a great (and really enjoyable) challenge for the more experienced stitcher.
Pattern includes full size transfers, DMC floss requirements and full stitching instructions with lots of extra help to stitch the more unfamiliar stitches. These include banded stem stitch, couched filling stitch, basket weave stitch, , and long looped stitch for the hair.
