Description

Welcome to Issue 86 of our magazine that celebrates everything we love about home and family life here in the English countryside with sewing very much at its heart.

This month’s magazine is full of spring delights – even the cover is the colour of early spring, a vibrant daffodil yellow! Easter is early this year, so I’ve included some bunny patterns ready for the festivities – and a couple that will be just perfect for Mother’s Day too, which here in the UK falls on Sunday 11 March this year. And as a special treat we are featuring not two but three small business run by incredibly talented individuals – I was delighted to be sent a beautiful hoop from one of them, Auburn Hoops, to review and you can discover my conclusions inside. They’re also offering a special discount for Bustle & Sew readers – you can find the code at the end of their feature.

Elsewhere in the magazine Rosie has cooked up some delicious Easter treats – they’re not all chocolate, though she took some persuading to include other recipes, and we look at the almost unbearably cute English Angora Rabbit.

The Bustle & Sew Magazine is the work of just the two of us – Helen Dickson, the founder of and creative force behind the Bustle & Sew bunny and her daughter Rosie who’s a bit of a whiz in the kitchen! So if you’re expecting a glossy high-street, high-budget publication, stuffed with adverts and promotions, then this probably isn’t the magazine for you. But if you’re looking for quirky, unusual and fun sewing projects, all with Helen’s unique style, and enjoy filling your home with beautiful ideas, then you’re sure to love the Bustle & Sew Magazine.

Don’t forget, you are free to sell items you personally have made from Bustle & Sew patterns. All the templates are included at full size, so there’s no awkward re-sizing – no fiddling around with photocopiers or hanging around at printing shops – you can start creating straight away! I don’t mind if you personally want to make items to sell from my patterns, but you are not licensed to go into mass production.
