Give your boring battery-powered candles a bit of a makeover this autumn with these hand embroidered candle wraps (unsuitable for real candles). They feature hand embroidered motifs of pumpkins or toadstools and are given a rustic feel by backing with hessian.
This project is suitable for confident beginners. A sewing machine was used to stitch the embroidered linen strip to the hessian, but you could do this by hand if you preferred.
Stitches used are chain stitch, French knots satin stitch, split stitch.
Pattern includes full size templates, floss requirements and material requirements and full instructions to embroider your motifs and make up your candle wraps. Please note this is a pattern to stitch your own candle wraps and not the finished items. It is a digital pattern and you will not receive anything in the post. Your pattern will be emailed to you and will also be available to download from your Bustle & Sew account when your order is complete.
