Christmas wishes and mistletoe kisses … the season simply wouldn’t be as festive without a hand tied bunch of mistletoe hanging from the ceiling! So no prizes for guessing where I found the inspiration for this little hoop!
It’s really simple to stitch, using stem stitch, satin stitch and chain stitch, with silver French knots adding a little sparkle – though you can replace these with a few short straight stitches if French knots really aren’t your thing!
And now, to make life even easier, here’s a lovely quality pre-printed panel featuring our Mistletoe Kisses design so you don’t need to worry about problems transferring the pattern, you can simply hoop up and start stitching! The stitching guide is also included with DMC floss numbers and details of stitches used – you’ll find it in your package along with your fabric panel.
The fabric we’ve chosen is digitally printed for a clear crisp outline and is a nice quality 195 gsm pure cotton – the same as a good quilting cotton. It can be handwashed or machine washed at 30° or less on a delicates cycle. Use phosphate-free detergents. If you use a detergent suitable for delicates it is much less likely to damage the print. Do not wring or rub.
Please be aware that fabrics may shrink by between 3 and 5%, so if you think your project will need to be washed from time to time, then please do wash before beginning to stitch.
