As summer is upon us now and holidays to the seaside draw nearer I thought it would be fun to create some little seaside birds in the same style as my Garden Birds.
These little birds are all worked in split stitch which makes it nice and easy to achieve a good effect. I’ve mounted mine on vintage wooden cotton reels to display on my windowsill, but they’d also look good as patches or as brooches on your favourite casual jacket. There is a gull, puffin and sandpiper.
Birds measure between 2 and 2 ½” tall.
