Description
If you love patchwork and adore embroidery then why not combine the two techniques in this colourful project from Bustle & Sew. Featuring four lovely bowls of spring bulbs – tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and snowdrops – this is the perfect make for the new season.
Before the daffodils smother the banks and gardens around my home, there are the snowdrops, those brave little flowers, “Fair Maids of February” as they are traditionally called, that celebrate the increasing daylight and herald the arrival of “spring proper”. Later in the season come tulips – pink are my favourites, though they come in so many shades, from ivory through to deepest purple, with every variation of pink, orange, yellow and red, plain and striped, frilly and smooth to choose from. Hyacinths arrive in my garden just before the tulips, but I love the forced ones indoors, filling the house with fragrance and promise on even the darkest winter days.
Your finished table centre will measure 24” square (approx) and I hope you’ll enjoy this project in celebration of these beautiful blooms as much as I did.
Pattern includes guidance on choosing your hoop, transferring your pattern and selecting the right fabric for stitching as well as full size templates for all the designs, stitching instructions and floss requirements together with instructions for piecing and completing your table centre.
This project is suitable for a confident beginner.
Please note this listing is for a pattern to make your own table centre and not the finished item. It is a digital pattern and you will not receive anything in the post. Your Spring Blooms pattern will be available to download from your Bustle & Sew account as soon as your order is complete and will also be emailed to you.
