Description
This is such a wonderfully enjoyable project to stitch, celebrating the natural world around us as the year waxes and wanes and the months progress from spring to summer, autumn and winter, then round again, completing the circle of the year. And if you can’t wait to get started – and are confident in drawing your own circle and transferring the designs to your fabric then this is the version for you!
This wheel of the year is divided into twelve months and four seasons and within each month you’ll discover a design representing that month and what we can see around us at that time of year, whether that’s November’s curious fox, April’s cheerful chicken, a Halloween pumpkin or two delightfully refreshing ice lollies for July. Stitching this wheel offers you a creative way to embrace mindfulness, slow down a little and reconnect with the natural world around you.
The centre of the wheel has been left blank for you to personalise your design – perhaps with a name, date or another image unique to you.
The pattern includes full details of how to stitch your design including DMC floss colours and stitches used. It also gives the dimensions and instfuctions for drawing the wheel and positioning the designs. The finished project displays beautifully in a 13″ hoop.
As an extra bonus when you receive your digital pattern it contains details of how to access two further digital files – a stitch dictionary explaining how to work the less common stitches and an illustrated almanac taking you around the English country year as well as lots of additional photographs to help you make your wheel the nicest it can be!
Please note, this listing is for the pattern only for you to stitch your own wheel of the year and not the finished item. It is a digital pattern and you will not receive anything in the post. A download link will be emailed to you and the file will also be available to download from your Bustle and Sew account when your order is complete. Please also be aware that this digital listing DOES NOT include the printed panel.
