Because I am a rather greedy sort of person who absolutely LOVES cake (and is quite determined to try lots of the ideas everyone left in my giveaway earlier this week), I always look forward to the weekends – and Saturday morning in particular which is baking morning in my house! And now I have a lovely new mixer to help make my cakes even fluffier (as Dan helpfully pointed out this means that they should be of a lighter texture and any extra fluffiness should have nothing to do with Newfie fur!) …..
Tomorrow I’m going to try a new recipe by Emma from Forever Baking whom we featured in the February issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine where she shared her recipe for her totally adorable (and extremely delicious) Mini Iced Doughnuts …..
These are just the right size for sharing with friends over coffee – not too large so you can indulge yourself with more than one and if you’re very greedy maybe even a third (ahem!).
Emma has some lovely ideas and tomorrow I’m determined to try her Nutella Swirl Peanut Butter Blondies. This is because (1) Emma’s recipe looks scrumptious and (2) I have a cupboard full of Nutella. Rosie persuaded me there was going to be a Nutella shortage this year, but now I’m not at all sure this is the case as the shelves in the supermarket are still well stacked with jars and it’s reduced in Tesco!
So I need to use up some of my supply and I think these will be perfect ….
And if you’re very lucky Miss Rosie (Nutella shortage I don’t think) I will save some for next time you visit! Please do pop over and visit Emma at Forever Baking and take a look at some of her lovely bakes – I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
