Our second Meet the Maker in the March issue of the Magazine is the lovely Sarah of Little Pip Designs. Like myself, Sarah lives in Devon, though she is in the north of the county whilst I’m just about as far south as it’s possible to get (in fact Salcome, just a few miles from me is the most southerly town in Britain. But I digress…)
Here is Sarah with some of her delightful designs. If you’re in the UK I’m sure you’ll recognise the cheeky blue tit as well as a little sparrow and a robin too. In fact Sarah told us that the robin was her very favourite of her designs, being one of the first she created while teaching herself freehand machine embroidery a couple of years ago. He’s delightful and definitely proves that a robin is not just for Christmas!
Sarah also translates some of her textile designs into printed pieces, so is able to offer tea towels, coasters and even pocket mirrors (extremely useful!) If you’ like to see more of her work then please do pop over to her Etsy shop or Facebook page if you’re on Facebook. Thanks so much Sarah for appearing in the March issue.
