Thank you everyone – the future of the Bustle & Sew Magazine

I was blown away by the amazing response to my last post about reaching retirement age and the planned ending of the Bustle & Sew Magazine.  I received so many good wishes and lovely comments about the magazine – Bustle & Sew readers are definitely a lovely bunch of people (but I knew that anyway!).  I’m responding to everyone’s emails, but it is taking a little longer than usual since, as we all know, there’s a lot happening at this time of year!

A couple of weeks ago we made our annual visit to our local Christmas Tree Farm with Rosie and her family.  This farm is so very local that I can see the trees growing from an upstairs window of our house!

Freddie is wearing the Christmas jumper I knitted for him a couple of years ago now, although I think this might be its last year as it’s getting a bit short in the body.  I think Florence might have her eye on it though!

Then of course, Christmas tree safely in place, I have made my usual wreath from garden greenery for the front door.  This year is the first time ever (and this is our seventh Christmas in this house) that the birds have left me any berries on our holly tree!

Excuse the slightly pink tint to these photos – I took them early in the day of a beautiful frosty sunrise.  Alfie was watching with great interest as I took this photo – so of course I had to take another with him in it.  He may be deaf, but he doesn’t miss very much, making it his business to know absolutely everything that’s going on!

I’ve also been busy putting together the January 2026 edition of the Bustle & Sew Magazine which will be published a little later than usual this month because of Christmas.  There’s lots inside to enjoy, including a pattern featuring little Alfie, and it’s been lovely sitting next to the Christmas tree to sew – this really is the most wonderful time of the year!

And finally, just in case you didn’t see my last newsletter and might be interested in learning about my special subscription offer for the final twenty issues of the Bustle & Sew Magazine prior to my (partial at least) retirement in September 2027….

The Final Twenty Issues

I have decided to offer the final twenty issues of the Bustle & Sew Magazine for a single payment of just US$50.  (currently around £37.50).  This is equivalent to just $2.50 per issue (again, rather neatly, this was the original price of the first issue).

If you decide to purchase the Final Twenty Issues subscription, you will receive issues 181 – 200 on a monthly basis between January 2026 and September 2027 when the final magazine will arrive in your inbox.

If you’d like to learn more about the Final Twenty Issues subscription please click either on the image or the button.  This subscription will be available until mid-January only and won’t ever be repeated.

Monthly subscriptions will continue as normal, and annual subscriptions will still be available to purchase until September 2026.

If you have a current subscription and wish to take advantage of the Final Twenty Issues subscription offer, please purchase the Final Twenty Issues from the Bustle & Sew website and then drop me a quick email ([email protected]) so I can cancel your existing subscription.
