Hungry Bunny – a new pattern and discount code

Isn’t he cute!  Although I shouldn’t say so really.  My mum would have said I was a dreadful show-off, admiring your own work was definitely not the done thing in our house!  But I do think he is cute.  Who would guess that he’s created from a few fabric samples from the very nice interiors shop in Kingsbridge, together with the leg off an old pair of cord trousers?  That’s one of the things I enjoy about applique – searching out and combining different fabrics to incorporate into my creations.

The carrots are also fabric samples, his muzzle is a scrap of old blanket and the foliage is simply back stitch.  I added two little ladybirds for fun – you can just see one in this picture. I incorporated my panel into a really strong tote bag with loads of pockets to take to my stall at the Nostalgic Mix Fair next month.

And the pattern to make a bunny bag of your own is in my Etsy Shop.  You can still use the code BLOGREADER2 for 15% off for a while longer.  (Oh, and just to say this pattern won’t be in the magazine).

Meanwhile I hope my bunny finds someone nice to take him home next month!

He is lovely! I love the way that you have mixed and matched the different scraps of fabric… Sarah x
