Is that a guilty look or not?!
Kitchen magic is definitely what Ben thought he’d managed by making the bag of dog biscuits for the draw disappear! So when I came across this counted cross stitch pattern in a 1950s magazine lurking within my boxes, it seemed entirely appropriate!!
Sadly however it won’t be appearing in mine – I just can’t get on with cross stitch. I think I lack sufficient discipline! My stitches are always the wrong way round and no matter how carefully I count I never end up in the right place. So I’ve given up. But I don’t think that’s any reason to let this pattern remain in an old box, neglected and unloved when there are lots of very talented needlewomen out there who I’m sure would enjoy working it. If you’re one of them, then please just click here to download the free pdf file.
Off to write numbers on dog biscuits – the draw is now imminent. Oh, and yes, Ben did get his new ball after all. Couldn’t be cross with him for too long!
Hi, me too don't like cross stitch … but this pattern could easily turn in a free embroidery 🙂
What a beautiful dog – he is absolutely gorgeous – did he really eat a whole bag of numbered biscuits? he looks so innocent.

Well I think he looks FULL!!
We had a dog many years ago now. He ate a full pack of butter overnight. He looked positively sick the next morning, haha
Glad you enjoyed my post!! I still have to think twice before I say bone…….:)

Ben looks completely innocent to me. I think he's insulted that you've even suspected him. What a beautiful boy he is.
Thank you so much for this vintage cross stitch pattern. When I finish working it up I'll show you what I've done.
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [14 Jul 12:00pm GMT]. Thanks, Maria
With a face like that I have no idea how anyone could be upset with Ben! LOL Glad he got his new ball.
