My friend Jacqui of SewFlapdoodle is fired up and full of enthusiasm for creating embroidery designs. She’s never sewn herself, but simply adores the way that her drawings can be interpreted with needle and thread. I am hopeful that one day I might even persuade her to develop her own needlework skills, as she is so excited about the potential of this new (to Jacqui) medium!
Meanwhile, she is keeping me very well occupied stitching up her latest designs….. there are two Halloween goodies….
“Trick or Treat?” (above) and “Night Flight” (below).
And two designs inspired by the current US Presidential election campaigns. Jacqui’s brother and his family live in the USA and so she is well informed about US politics – unlike myself who, whilst being aware that elections are taking place, doesn’t know too much at all about all the ins and outs of the campaigning. But I do know that Jacqui’s little animals are adorable – whatever party you support. Shown here in strict and un-biased alphabetical order …..
I loved stitching these designs – but now they are finished as an English person I don’t really have a place for them, and it’s a shame for them to languish, unwanted in a drawer. So, if anyone would like to purchase either of the finished embroideries above, please email me and I will contact you about payment.
They are shown mounted in 7″ hoops, and are stitched in DMC floss on creamy vintage linen. I will send them by airmail and the cost will be $12.50 for the embroidery and $5.00 for postage/packing.
If you’d like to stitch any of Jacqui’s SewFlapdoodle designs yourself, then you will find all the above patterns (and more) listed on the SewFlapdoodle page of this website.
The SewFlapdoodle designs are great!
