I love all your patterns but I think my very favorite was the August issue with the seaside cottages and seagulls. Congratulations on your two year anniversary!

Reply

My favorite, although I haven’t attempted to make it, is the nasturtium tea cosy. I love the bright orange colours.

Reply

I love all of your patterns, and haven’t made half enough of them, but my favourite make was the bird on a branch with bunting bag (I can’t remember it’s proper name, but I’m sure you know which one I mean) which I’ve never used but enjoy every day as it’s hanging on my bedroom wall.

Reply

I love softies, especially the cotton spool mice. I also feel the need to make the dachsund draught excluder one day. Congrats on your 2 years.

I knew Bustle & sew magazine when I saw “where shall we adventure?” on Google’s images and was love at first sight. “Where shall we adventure?” is on page 4 -July 2012. Sincerely I like very much many Bustle & sew patterns, for example “Blue house crab tote” and “Seagull cushion”.

My favorite is “Summer Bedtime”. I have my own memories of trying to sleep while there was still a little light left. Now that I am a Mom with 3 kids of my own and I must confess that I let them stay up in the summer to enjoy as much light as they can. Besides, there’s nothing more beautiful then watching kids chase fire flies on a summers evening!

Definately ‘Hodge’ the hedgehog, although in our house he was called ‘Dodger’ for obvious reasons!! Xxxx

Helen, all of your designs are cute, cute, cute! I really like your birds on a wire and I think I will give the hedgehog pattern a go.

Reply
Fran Drolet

I love all your patterns, of course, but if I HAD to choose I would say it the Coastguard Cottages Draughter Excluder. The whimsical, colourful cottages remind me of Newfoundland (Canada) and the many happy years I lived there.

Reply

My grandson is the recipient of most of the things I make from your patterns. He sleeps with his Ben Softie, carries around as many bunnies as his 18 month old arms can from your Muddle of Bunnies, He also likes the ball from that. Ball was his first word. That grandmama can make balls is pretty exciting. I have the felted wool material to make him Humphrey Bonzo Hound. I also want to make some tea cozys. Even though I’m on this side of the big pond I have to have my afternoon tea. I have three different pots i use for different ocasions and i would like to make one of your several cozys especially for each one. What would I do without my monthly fix of Bustle & sew?

Reply

I haven’t had a chance to read it yet but I did see a dog pattern. I love anything with a dog or cat in it or on it. I would love to get the magazine but I can’t afford it. I love your blog and the free patterns. Happy Birthday

Helen, I can’t pick just one! The calendar bunnies will be my summer take-along project, I love the 3 hares which I will have to have along with the sleepy doormouse. How cute are the Rosie and the Bear designs and the pin cushion mice! Your designs are so very sweet and I look forward to your adventures with Ben and Daisy! Thank you!

Reply

Congratulations on the 2nd birthday! What an accoplishment. I love the Exotic Bird Hobo Tote. The bird is beautiful and the tote is the perfect size. I admit that I also like the Hyacinth in Tea Cup Pattern, what a wonderful way to use Embroidery and Applique at the same time.
I also like the idea of expanding the life of the chipped tea cups and sausers in this lovely manner.
You have brought great designs and a lot of stitching joy into my retirement. Thank you.

Reply

I love the calendar bunnies too, they’re so adorable. But really much too hard to choose 🙂

Reply

Seaside pattern
Memories of childhood
Smells of the sea
That’s what this pattern
Brought back to me

I love its simplicity the use of a scenic background fabric the summer bunting and the single gull  on the railing. This all recalled memories of summer holidays in a caravan, 99’s and candy floss mingling with seaweed and screaming gulls.

How can you pick “just one” as a favorite. I personally love all your little animals, houses, and many of your embroidery patterns. Picking just one is difficult. Guess your Coastguard Cottages from Issue 19 would be top o’ the list for me, followed by your Retro Dandelion Zipper Pouch from Issue 6, more houses from Heart of Your Home Applique in Issue 12, and the wee birds in Summer Birdie Bag Issue 7 plus Love Floew Down at Christmas from Issue 9 . . . this last pattern can be changed up quickly to be usable for Valentine’s Day by just adding little satin-stitched or back-stitched hearts inside the leaves. Thank you for all your work in this publication. Thoroughly enjoy it and look forward to each and every one coming in the mail!

Please enter me for the draw. My favourite pattern is Corgi Love celebrating the Queen’s jubilee last year. Dogs and bunting, fab.

I am a novice when it comes to cloth. I specialize in fibers. I have not attempted any of your patterns as of yet, although I love your site and have a list of all that I wish to attempt to make. I have recently wanted to expand my knowledge and have been reading and trying to sew very small projects such as coasters or wash clothes. With not too much success. As I only have a small amount of extra cash, purchasing items are rather scarce for me. To win a few patterns to start off my sewing lessons would be a joy that I would treasure greatly. Please enter my name in your drawing. Thank you – have a great day. Monika
