Go on then Daisy, you know you want to!
Yes, Ben and the irrepressible Miss Daisy have been staying with their Auntie Gillian at their favourite kennels, whilst I have been visiting Rosie and Dan for a lovely Easter weekend. They live quite close to Bath so there had to be some shopping ….
And I got a lovely new scarf. Pink AND seagulls too – what could be nicer? I also purchased a fascinator to complete my mother-of-the-bride outfit but I’m afraid I am NOT showing you a photo of me with the silly thing on my head! I think it will be OK on the day once I am wearing the whole outfit though, and I’m comforting myself with the thought that everyone will be looking at Rosie anyway.
Then after shopping, and a spot of lunch, we went to Farrington Gurney where there is a pick-your-own tulip field…..
With the most amazing colourful varieties – so much nicer than the sort you usually find in the shops. Look at this wonderful bloom ….
I think it’s a parrot tulip? But more than that I don’t know … just that it’s totally fabulous! We picked and picked, and now both our homes have vases, jugs and pots of tulips adorning every available surface. My especial favourite is this little teapot arrangement…..
Perfect for the ones that got broken off short – and a pretty reminder of a lovely colourful Easter weekend!
Looks like you had the most wonderful Easter

How wonderful! And love your hairdo and new scarf! It’s so soft looking and lately I’ve had a thing for birdie designs! And of course, the sea. And daughter time is always very special. Glad you had a fun time. Sounds like the pups did too!
We were at Farrington Gurney on Saturday too; we looked at the tulip field though we didn’t pick any. Perhaps I was looking at you! We did treat ourselves to an ice cream from the artisan ice cream shop though.
We had chocolate cake!! Scrummy. xx
The look of pure joy on Miss Daisy and Ben’s faces is wonderful to see. They’re certainly two very pampered Newfies. The tulip arrangement is lovely. It is so nice to bring the springtime indoors.
I love your blog and check it everyday for any new news! Thank you Helen.
Thanks so much Susan for your lovely comment. They are indeed very pampered – currently they’re with Donna for their monthly grooming session. Daisy is so funny – she pushes into the room and bounces up onto the table, determined to have first go! And then when they return home there’s a competition to see who can get dirty again the quickest – and again Daisy is usually the winner. xx
Such adorable, happy puppy dogs : )
Oh what I would give to walk among those beautiful tulips and pick a bouquet of my own. It’s still pretty chilly here in northern Alberta and we still have a little snow on the ground but we had a wonderful Easter with family and friends. It was my grandsons 4th birthday also so the day started with an Easter egg hunt that turned into a Pirate birthday party. It was a day full of fun and laughter : )
