I can’t believe it’s all over!

So much preparation, anticipation and creation – and now it’s over –  I simply don’t know where Christmas went this year!  It is definitely true that time goes faster as you grow older!  I do hope you had a wonderful Christmas, wherever you were and whatever you were doing.

Ours was definitely a good one, and especially fun for Rosie’s little puppy Tilly who was experiencing her first Christmas – she definitely approved of all the fun and games.  Here she is proudly holding her special handmade gift from me, complete with her name …

….. and also including, much to Rosie and Dan’s disgust, a repurposed squeaker from an old green crocodile stuffie that Daisy “killed” earlier on this year inserted into the furry end.  My chocolate log (recipe by Mary Berry of course!) was, though I say so myself, quite delicious and much enjoyed ….

… although I had to put up with a lot of teasing about my 12 foot tall killer penguin who turned out to be twice as tall as the Christmas tree cake topper. You can’t really see the size difference in this photo due to the angle of the shot, but it was quite extreme!

I was very spoiled and received some lovely presents – two of my favourites were a beautiful photobook of THE wedding of the year, as well as this beautiful little rabbit hoop (both from Rosie) …

Isn’t it amazing!  It’s needlefelted onto a wool felt background and mounted in a 4″ hoop and I absolutely adore it.  it was created by Dani of Good Natured Felt Art  who’s also very kindly agreed to feature in one of our “Meet the Maker” interviews in the February issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine.  I know Rosie’s been working on her interview and I’m so looking forward to learning more about this supremely talented lady.

And finally, mentioning the magazine, be sure to check back tomorrow for news of a special one-off sale!
