Home Again!

Last week, feeling very courageous, we packed our cases, dropped the dogs at their favourite holiday residence (with a very nice lady in the next village who cares for them in her own home) and set off for a week in the sun.  The journey itself was unexpectedly straightforward and I didn’t feel nearly as nervous as I thought I would travelling through Gatwick airport.  Wearing a mask for 8 hours wasn’t much fun….

But after all, many people do that all day.  The flight to Corfu is only 2 1/2 hours and so before long we reached our destination, far away from rainy (and in the event, stormy) old England. Corfu was basking in 32 degree heat….

And a great time was had by all!  All too soon however it was time to return home  changing from sandy toes on a beach, to wearing my wellies in a field once again….

What a contrast!  Luckily we missed Storm Francis and the weather was calm and golden – perfect for enjoying an early morning walk with the dogs …..

The ever-expanding Ted is now as large as Daisy and is becoming very handsome indeed (in his opinion anyway!)

Our house with its new coat of paint (we have changed it from mint choc chip to clotted cream in colour) looked mellow and homely from across the other side of the field and I was glad to be home once more…..

And since I returned I’ve been busy restocking our Etsy shop with kits in readiness for the autumn.  In addition to our normal selection this month sees a new design … my Winter Florals Hoop from last year….

And all kits now come with everything you need to make your project – a hoop, good quality printed cotton panel, genuine DMC floss, needle and full stitching instructions.  To find out more and see the full selection please just CLICK HERE to visit our Etsy shop.

Thanks Lee, he was indeed gentle. Ted is a bit of a thug right now – he has all that puppy energy and a VERY large body to hurl himself around in haha! xx

Oh wouldn’t it be so nice to jump on a plane and go somewhere warm and sunny but here in New Zealand our borders are closed and will be for quite some time. We must wear masks on all forms of public transport and anywhere there are other people. My face gets very warm and my glasses fogged! but we mustn’t complain as there are places much worse off.
Gosh your dogs are growing like mushrooms and yes Ted is a very handsome boy.
Take care.

I agree Pam, masks are horrid – but New Zealand is held up as an example to us here of how a country can work together to stop the spread of the virus. I hope we can do as well as winter sets in here. Sending love xx
