Chillington Bunnies make their debut! And a giveaway for you…

Well, I have been busy this week.  There is always loads to do after going on holiday and as well as catching up with all sorts of things, I’ve also been getting my Chillington Bunnies pattern ready to go on the Bustle and Sew site.

Greatly encouraged by the fun poll in which 9 out of 10 people said you could never have too much cuteness (especially in bunnies!) I decided to offer these little bunnies both to knit and to sew/embroider.  The basic bunny shape is the same in both and they look like they’re the best of friends …

who certainly seem to enjoy whispering very important secrets to each other!  They’re both very easy to make and you can find the pattern listed on both the Bustle and Sew website and also in my Etsy shop.  I’ve finally got around to adding instant downloads to the Bustle and Sew site, so your pattern will be with you straight away – no more waiting for me to email it to you!

And now the giveaway (actually I have two for you!).  For the chance to win yourself a copy of the Chillington Bunnies pattern together with either sufficient Rowan dk wool to make the knitted bunny or vintage blanket and felt pieces to make the sewn bunny (your choice) then please leave a comment below telling me who you’d make your Chillington bunny for.  The draw will close at midnight on Saturday 23 September (BST), and a winner will be chosen by Ben who is working very hard on his selection skills!

And secondly – for everyone (sorry those who think you can have too much cuteness – I am irresistibly drawn to cute) I have a free vintage embroidery transfer for you ..

Just click here to download from the Bustle and Sew site.  Happy sewing everyone!!

Those Chillington Bunnies are the sweetest! I am not much of a knitter and would really love the vintage blanket pattern. As a collector I would love to make one for myself, but I also have a granddaughter that will be 5 on Dec.01. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Wow, so adorable! I would sew a bunny for the Toy Society. It would make my day knowing a wee one would get to snuggle with it 🙂

I would make it for my soon to be born 1st grandchild. A girl! The cuteness of the embroidered bunny will of course not match up to her– but it will compliment! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

I absolutely adore bunnies… our family raised them when we were little and I always had a favorite. If I won I would make a bunny for my older sister because she loves stuffed bunnies.

I would have to make the cute little bunny for my son, who is 9 months. We've just moved into a new house and he's started to get a very nice collection of soft toys in his room to keep him company.

I would make him for myself! I could use another cute bunny inspiring me in my sewing room all the time!

I would make the bunny for my first grandchild! That way we could enjoy a storytelling session with the bunny as the hero.

I'm thrilled that I'm going to be a great grandmother in October. Don't know if it will be a boy or girl, but either would love one of these bunnies

Your designs are the best. The bunnies the cutest! My niece loves bunnies so I would make one for her and then for the rest of the nieces I am sure as they would be jealous of such cuteness!
I am working on my knitting skills so the vintage blanket would be what I would love!
Thank you for the generous giveaway!

I would make it for my 5 year old daughter (vintage fabric) as we lost one of our two bunnies to a fox during the Summer Holidays, she was so upset. Although she said the sunshine was Iris because the last one who goes to heaven becomes sunshine! How 'bunny cute' is that? Emma 🙂

I would make one for myself, a prototype obviously, then one each for my grand-daughters. Winter knitting is so relaxing …..
