It’s at this time of year, as the days grow longer and there are snowdrops scattered across the countryside in every direction, that spring seems so tantalisingly close. Not yet upon us – there will be plenty of dull days and cold nights to come before the end of February, but certainly just over the horizon and nearly within our reach.
It’s not that I dislike winter, there are many compensations – hot chocolate, frosty mornings, toasty toes in front of the fire and last, but certainly not least of course – Christmas. But now I am ready for spring, and each year, around this time, I make a start on my spring stitching. If you’re a regular reader you may remember that last year I combined patterns for four bowls of spring bulbs into a patchwork table centre….
I really enjoyed stitching these blooms and so, in honour of the snowdrops that carpet our local woods, I thought I would share the pattern for the first design – the snowdrops bowl with you now…
Just CLICK HERE to visit the free patterns page and download your bowl of snowdrops pattern. And if you’d like to complete your collection of spring bulbs the book to stitch all four designs and make your own patchwork table centre is available to purchase from the Bustle & Sew bookstore HERE.
And finally, in honour of the approaching spring, I’ve decided to hold a quick sale in our bookstore with 25% off all pattern collections and magazine bundles for the next week only. Just enter code BOOKSALE25 at checkout to receive your 25% discount.
Please note: code is valid for pattern collections and magazine bundles only and cannot be combined with other discount codes. Sale ends 2 February.
