It is my firmly held opinion that you can never have too many bunnies at this time of year! Whether you celebrate Easter or not, spring is definitely the time to enjoy a little bunny love, especially when your logo is a bunny too! I’ve been busy with not one, or two, but THREE bunny-themed patterns for the April Bustle & Sew Magazine….
There’s Mrs Molly Rabbit of course, whom I introduced earlier in the week.
Whilst this morning I put the finishing touches to my Hot Cross Bunny basket. The rabbit is a little vintage illustration that I found a while ago and have been waiting to use. He’s embroidered onto some stripy linen fabric that’s actually half a linen napkin and the basket is lined with some vintage Cath Kidston Cotton Duck fabric. The third bunny pattern for the April Magazine is still very much a work in progress ….
Look at those cute little smiley faces popping up out of the felt! I’m just waiting for some supplies and they’ll be finished off this week. The April edition isn’t published until Thursday 30th so until then I thought it would be fun to share my Pin the Tail on the Bunny pattern ….
It’s a variation on the more traditional Pin the Tail on the Donkey game, and is great fun to enjoy with younger family members. It’s mounted on an 18″ quilting hoop that I’ve painted white, and there’s just some simple embroidery.
