Description
I have had good success with growing carrots in my vegetable patch and have particularly enjoyed growing the more unusual differently coloured varieties that are not readily available in supermarkets. Did you know that carrots weren’t always orange, but were bred to be that colour in honour of William of Orange who ruled Britain with his wife Mary Stewart in the eighteenth century?
The carrot tops are hand stitched in feather stitch in a variety of shades of green while the roots are felt applique with a little freestyle machine embroidery. The cushion cover has a simple envelope closure and is sized to fit a 16” pad.
Please note, this is a digital pattern to make your own cushion cover and not the finished item.
