My mum used to be very proud of the pair of Staffordshire dogs displayed on her mantlepiece and it’s her dogs that have inspired the canine part of this charming pair of Christmas decorations. The little cat came about as my little grandson Freddie loves cats whilst his sister Florence loves dogs – so there had to be an animal for each of them.
These are really easy makes, very suitable as a confident beginner’s project. Stitched on white felt, the stitches used are back stitch, chain stitch, French knots, satin stitch and split stitch.
Each animal measures 4” high (approx)
