I love all kinds of stitching, but my first love and the one to which I return over and over again is hand embroidery. I first started to stitch at the age of about 6 or 7 and have continued to this day – though I think my stitches are a little neater these days!
This is a true “slow stitchery” project – an immensely satisfying showstopper that I almost didn’t want to finish I was enjoying it so much. The quote of course is from Shakespeare – can you spot the fairies’ names woven in amongst the soft dreamy feathers!
This isn’t a beginner’s project, but if you have some experience then you should be fine – I have included lots of photos and details on stitching to help you along. I use DMC floss and have also included all the colours and a stitching chart too. The pattern is given full size so no fiddly messing around with resizing – and I would recommend printing it on Sulky Sticky Fabri Solvy which is so easy to use and readily available from Amazon.
Hoop measures 14” across.
