Flower and Fruit Applique Cushions

Here in South Devon, England, everyone is very keen on growing their own produce – and selling the surplus at little stalls outside their houses.  These cushion covers were inspired by a lovely bucket of Globe Artichokes and sunflowers seen outside one enterprising gardener’s house.

Wonderfully tactile, they are machine appliqued (just straight stitching) fabric scraps and leftover yarn onto vintage blanket panels, and will make a snuggly addition to your favourite chair.

You will receive full instructions and templates for creating the applique designs, plus instructions for putting together the simple envelope closure cushion (pillow) covers.
