Little Geese Softies

Mrs Millicent Minniver and her sister Molly are probably the most adorable little geese you’re likely to find anywhere. Their brother Bertram is very handsome too!

In the main picture they’ve been made from vintage linen and feedsack scraps, whilst Bertram is very stately – he’s been stitched by hand from vintage blanket scraps. Any non-stretchy fabric would do as long as it’s not too heavy.

The geese are weighted at the base with a couple of small pebbles, and have little wire legs covered in felt. Together with the buttons on their wings this means they’re not suitable to make as toys for very young children.   They stand approximately 10″ high and are very easy to make with the step-by-step photos included in this pattern.
