Red Riding Hood Embroidery

A unique interpretation of the traditional fairytale – featuring a not-very-scary Ben as the big bad wolf!   There are three parts to this design – you could work them in a single panel or do as I have and place them within a patchwork framework – here I created a cushion with them.  The two smaller panels each measure approx 4″ square and the larger one is approx 8″ x 4″.

The stitches used are all fairly basic – you may not be familiar with Roumanian stitch used for the tree trunks and wolf’s fur, but I have provided working instructions for you.
