Here is a picture of my new bag design – it’s a shoulder bag measuring 14″ wide at the widest point and 13.5″ deep. It has a single internal pocket and is really easy to make, with a fun bird on branch machine applique design on the front. I have discovered however, that it is not really easy to think of a name for the pattern. I had the same problem this time last year when trying to think of a name for this bag…
and it was eventually solved very successfully with a lot of help from blog readers, who thought up the pattern name. It’s called the “Sweet Pleat” Shoulder Tote and it’s one of my favourites.
So I thought I’d ask for your assistance once more in thinking up a name for my new bag design. If you would like to help, please could you leave a comment below suggesting a name?
The winner will receive a kit containing everything they need to make their own bag, including pattern, canvas, Liberty silk for the lining, printed fabric bunting flags, fabric selection for applique, magnetic closure and little vintage button for the birdie’s eye. Additionally, I’ll give away by random selection, two free copies of the pattern. Thank you and good luck to everyone!
So that’s three prizes up for grabs …. please put your thinking caps on and help me out!
PS I am happy to post the kit overseas. Closing date for comments is Thursday 21 July.
PPS This pattern will appear in this month’s magazine out on 28 July – you can subscribe using the button at the top right-hand corner of the blog.
