Goodness it’s hot! Here in England we’re not used to extremes of temperature, and this year (which is only half way through of course) has seen the Beast from the East bringing with it record-breaking low temperatures, combined with heavy snow, whilst now we’re in the middle of an officially-designated heatwave. Daisy is happy to snooze the time away on the cool tiles of my kitchen floor, whilst I am grateful for the thick walls of my old stone cottage that keep us all warm in winter and cool on these hot summer days.
