I’m sorry – I know I’m a bit late with the preview this month – yesterday I took the day off and headed up to Stoke-on-Trent with Rosie on a 300 mile round trip to the Emma Bridgewater factory. I do love my Bridgewater china….
and so I was fascinated to see how it’s made….
Shelves and shelves of blank biscuit-fired pieces waiting to be decorated and glazed ….
The decorators are amazingly skilful – some of the pieces are very intricately decorated.
There was a chance for us to have a go too …
I think I am better with a needle than a sponge! But perhaps my attempt will look better when it’s been glazed and fired – fingers crossed! Meanwhile, here’s the preview of the August Magazine (out tomorrow) ….
Better late than never!! If you’re a subscriber then do watch out for it arriving in your inbox tomorrow morning. If you’re not a subscriber and would like to learn more then please CLICK HERE to visit our magazine page and find out about our current special offer.
