It has to be said that it is not often I am at a loss for words. But when Rosie showed me the recipe for the September Magazine, my mouth dropped open (sadly nobody put one of these S’Mores Brownies into it) and I stared, mesmerised at the screen for a good – let’s say 30 seconds – before I trotted off to check out my cupboard to see if I had the required ingredients to make my own!
These take the words “yummy,” “scrummy,” and “brownies” to a whole new dimension – in my opinion at least, and are the inspired creation of Rachel from Bakerita. Rachel told us that she’s been baking since childhood when one of her faves to make with her mum was Magic Cookie Bars – these were seven layers bars with graham cracker crust, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, walnuts, and coconut. Oh my goodness! (sorry couldn’t help myself there – Rachel you are a woman after my own heart!).
