Meet the Maker: Looping Home

Rosie is super clever at hunting out very lovely and talented makers to feature in the Bustle & Sew Magazine, and as well as stitchers she also enjoys finding makers who excel at other textile and fibre related crafts.   This month we were delighted to chat to Ana Goncalves of Looping Home.   Ana runs her business from her home in Portugal. She graduated in the arts but soon found that interior design was her real passion. Image3

Ana learned to  crochet with her grandmother and mom when she was a teenager.  About 5 years ago she picked up her hook again as she wanted to make some fashion accessories for her family and lovely bits for her home.  She rediscovered her love for crochet finding it’s very relaxing and gives her a lot of pleasure and since then she hasn’t stopped!

I’m a great admirer of those who crochet lovely things as it’s one craft I’ve never been able to properly master.  I think it’s because I’m not great with numbers and counting and so I keep forgetting how many times I’ve looped my yarn around my hook.  And then there’s the difference between US and UK crochet stitches ……

Clearly Ana is a million times better at crocheting than me – and if you’d like to see more of her lovely work, then please do visit her Etsy shop and you can keep up to date with all her news on her Facebook page.

Thanks so much for being a part of the November Magazine Ana. xx
