Meet the Maker: What a Curly Life

In the December issue of Bustle & Sew Magazine we were delighted to feature an interview with Anabella from What a Curly Life. Originally from Argentina, Anabella now lives in Brighton on the south coast of England. She first started sewing with her Grandma when she was 6 and hasn’t stopped, creating gorgeous felt animals and mobiles which she sells in her Etsy shop.

We asked Anabella what her biggest challenge has been when promoting and selling her work online. She told us;

“Mainly, showing the best of my products in just a few pictures as my customers are not able to feel or see the real item until they buy it. I did a lot of research beforehand and still do it as I think there is always room for improvement and I feel I still need to learn so much about online business.

Dealing with procrastination and managing my own time has also been very challenging as I don’t have a physical store, where I open and close at certain times. An online shop is open 24/7, but sometimes the most challenging things can be your biggest advantages as well. I learned to have my big goals divided in smaller goals to know what I want to achieve next and not get distracted.”

Be sure to pop over to Anabella’s Etsy shop and say hello on Instagram too!
