Time to think …

We’ve been having glorious weather here in south Devon, everything is so well ahead – I don’t think I’ve ever seen the bluebells out so early… and so many .. primroses too, cow parsley, Ragged Robin, violets still and apple blossom everywhere.  Walking through the woods last night was an absolute delight – no more mud – though the ground is very dry, and I am sure farmers and gardeners must be anxious for rain soon.
It was good to take time out for a long walk with Ben, I’ve been working hard lately, on a couple of new patterns for my shop, moving my Bustle & Sew website to a new provider and also putting together the May Issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine (out on 28 April).  After reviewing the magazine I have come to the conclusion that I must increase the monthly subscription cost for new subscribers to $4.50 per month from 1 May.
The good news is if you subscribe before 1 May (or are already a subscriber) then you will keep the current $2.50 per month price forever!  So if you have been considering subscribing, then please don’t put it off for too much longer as the price will have to increase on 1 May.  There’s a form in the sidebar, or to learn more about the magazine, please look at the Magazine page on this blog.
I had a lovely surprise yesterday when I visited the Feeling Stitchy blog (always inspiring) and found Rosie & Bear in their latest post!  Fame at last for the naughty pair! The pattern featured was the Royal Wedding pattern – where I’ve tried to offer an individual take on the event – from the view of a small child and her Bear.
To compliment this design, I’ve uploaded a couple of vintage pattern sheets from my collection.  I don’t know what royal event they were originally prepared for – the last coronation perhaps? Or even the one before?  Anyway, if you’d like them, then please click here and here to view and download.
Let’s hope the weather stays sunny for the happy couple.  Off now to work on my final pattern for this month’s magazine – another love theme, but this time for us ordinary folks!!
