A Bustle & Sew First!

I’m already thinking beyond Halloween – which I must admit I’ve never really celebrated.  Back in the 1960s and 70s when I was growing up it simply wasn’t such an occasion, and if you did want to try to make a lantern, you’d have to hack your way through a rock hard turnip or swede – pumpkins were a very exotic idea, and not readily available in rural Warwickshire!  So now that the magazine’s 70th issue celebrations are over (thank you so much to everyone who joined in our giveaways), I have been thinking about Christmas and the New Year and our first-ever Bustle & Sew stitchable calendar ….

It’s one of our printed panels, this time sized to fit an A3 artist’s canvas block (around 11″ x 16″).  The whole panel is printed in colour and the succulents can be embroidered – 0r not of course as the mood takes you!

And it’s fun to customise your calendar by marking those special dates unique to you and your loved ones.  I’ve already gifted this one to Rosie and Dan, so have marked all their important days, as well as Christmas and Easter of course …

The fabric is a really nice quality 195 gsm pure cotton that’s professionally digitally printed so it’s really crisp and clear.calendartopCalendar panels will be available in store at the end of this week – so there’s time to stitch before Christmas and the New Year.  Hope you like them!
