Goings on behind the scenes…

There’s lots going on behind the scenes here at Bustle & Sew at the moment!  Rosie and I have been putting our heads together to plan for the months ahead, and in particular we’ve been looking at offering more softie kits as well as the possibility of iron on embroidery transfers.  In my last post I announced the arrival of new Flora kits, bringing the total in our store at the moment to four ….

And I’m very excited to be able to tell you that we’ll soon have kit number five available – our little Wilderness Bear (aka Freddie’s all-time favourite toy!)

Wilderness Bear kits will be coming in the next week or so and I’ll be sure to let everyone know when they’re available in-store.  We’re also hoping to have iron-on embroidery patterns available before too much longer – but the only problem is knowing which designs to choose!  Some suggestions at the moment include:

And if you have any suggestions please let me know as the minimum order is quite large so I should be able to fit in quite a few designs.  Of course while all this is going on I’ve still been working on new patterns for the July issue – including a first for me – some hand embroidered iron-on patches.  There will be three different designs and here’s a peek at the first (still a wip obviously!)

I’ve been using basket weave stitch again as it’s such a nice firm stitch which it won’t be easy to catch and pull if you’re wearing your patch on clothing or have attached it to a bag.  I did a whole tutorial on basketweave (and other stitches beginning with B) early this year ….

I think I might look it out and post it here on the blog in the next week or so.  If you’d like it, and also to be kept up to date with all the goings on here at Bustle & Sew then please do join our Newsletter.  It’s absolutely free and we never ever share your details with anyone else!  You’ll find the link at the bottom of the page.
