Transferring your Bustle & Sew Design – and a winner too

We’ve had such a busy week here at Bustle & Sew HQ! The snow has finally vanished, and in my bay tree a young pair of blackbirds are busy with nest construction. I’ve seen them vanishing between its thickly clustered leaves with beaks full of twigs, leaves and the softest green moss and am very hopeful that Freddie and I will be able to watch their brood grow and develop over the weeks ahead.

Rosie has been particularly busy on the kits side of things – we’re hoping to be able to distribute three of our most popular designs through local retailers, and there’s so much to think about. As well as retail, we’ll still continue to offer limited edition kits online, beginning with my little Spring Lamb as I had a very positive response when I asked about Spring Lamb kits last week.  I’m still working out costings, but I’m nearly there and she will be available as a special pre-order offer next weekend.  Meanwhile you can see all our currently available kits over in the Bustle & Sew store.

Still on the subject of kits, last week we held a giveaway for one of our popular Rosie’s Houseplants kits and I’m delighted to announce that the winner is Gill Moore from Derby – well done Gill – I have emailed you! I’m currently organising all the useful tips and will be sure to share them when I’m done.

One of the most popular and well-read blog posts I’ve written recently (apart from those featuring Daisy of course) has been the one I wrote about using Sulky Sticky Fabri Solvy to transfer your embroidery pattern (there’s a link at the end of this newsletter if you’d like to take another look).  I have been thinking about this, and wondered if a lot of people had been put off purchasing by having to buy a pack of 12 sheets all at once – especially as it isn’t a particularly cheap product.   I was talking to Rosie about this and we came up with the idea of offering single sheets pre-printed with a Bustle & Sew design for those who’d like to try it for themselves.   I’ve chosen nine of our most popular designs to begin with – but if you’d like one that isn’t there then please let me know. Pre-printed sheets are currently listed in our Etsy store only and you can find out more HERE.

And finally, just to let you know that the March Issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine is now available in paperback form on Amazon worldwide.

I’mloking forward to printing out my patterns and making them up. I’m so excited to have found you. If I’m lucky enough to get to UK again next year, I’ll be on your doorstep!!
