100th Issue Celebrations – win every magazine we’ve published!

All this week we’re celebrating the 100th issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine which was published for the very first time in February 2011, such a very long time ago now.  Back then the magazine was a very slender publication, with just a few patterns and sewing-related articles.  Today it’s much more wide-ranging, as we like to share with our readers everything we love about life here in the English countryside – with sewing very much at its heart of course.  We also include not two or three but SIX Bustle & Sew patterns every month too.  Even though the first issues were rather slimmer than today, we think we must have published at least around 400 patterns over the last 8 years!

Indeed, I wonder how many yards (or metres) of floss I’ve stitched, how many hoops I’ve used as well as felt, cotton, linen and toy stuffing!  I don’t think I’m going to spend time working it all out though – I think it would be a nearly impossible task.  But what I am going to do is offer one lucky blog reader the opportunity to win EVERY issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine we’ve ever published!

Please be aware though that this is a digital publication, so if you don’t like reading magazines on your device then it may not be the prize for you.  Still keen?  Then for your chance to win a copy of EVERY Bustle & Sew Magazine published please leave a comment below, and just for fun tell us what is your all time favourite Bustle & Sew pattern and why.  The winner will be chosen by random selection and will be notified by Wednesday 1 May.  The competition is open to everyone, wherever you may live.

I have made so many things from your magazines, lots of soft toys and many cushions, all of which have been given as gifts ot to charity. I think my favourite would be Fred and Ginger, not an easy project but they looked great when finished. They are now in Australia!

I love your design ideas and the cactus hoop reignited my love of embroidery. I thought it would take me for ever to finish or be another unfinished project in the cupboard, but I was hooked from the very first cactus! I have now Joined a hand sewing group and am embroidering a bag with onions, tomatoes and leeks for shopping for veg at the market.
I have told all the members of my group about your blog and they love it too.

I don’t have a particular favourite I’m always looking forward to the Christmas patterns coming out. I’ve made quite a few for gifts, some perhaps my favourite out of them was the cushion with a car and tree on top or the skier one. Congrats on your 100th issue

Wow what an amazingly generous offer. Thank you ever so much for the chance to win.

My all time favorite is Chocks Away.

WWII let such a big impression on the UK and the US, the pattern, besides being stinking cute, reminds me of the love of flying and the sacrifice of many for the greater good.

I absolutely love everything you designed with Rosie. I tried to buy all the magazines you printed with Rosie in it, but I couldn’t get my order in in time.

If you ever make an e-book with all those designs I would love to buy it and learn how to embroider the bear fur. Robbie in Texas

Even though all your patterns are lovely, I have to say that my all time favorite pattern is embroidery and actually a series of patterns. Rosie and Bear touched my heart when I first saw them and even after all this time still make me smile. They are charming and fun, and Bear looks just like my son’s favorite companion when he was just a little boy. I adore them.
