April Magazine Out Today!! And a Giveaway for you ….

Phew…..I’ve been working so hard on the April Issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine, but at last it’s finished and published this morning – a bumper 65 page issue with not three, but FOUR Bustle & Sew patterns, plus guest contributors and vintage knitting/crochet patterns.  It’s packed with goodness – if you’d like to see what’s inside, then please click on the image in the sidebar for a preview.
Very bad photo of the Bustle & Sew stall
Of course last weekend was the wonderful Nostalgic Mix Fair, where I had a great day, meeting fellow bloggers and lots of lovely customers.  I’ve only just got round to unpacking, and what should I find, but a lonely blanket bunny. All his friends found kind new homes, but for some reason this little fellow was left behind.  So I thought he might like to travel a little further afield perhaps, and have decided to make him into a giveaway prize for blog readers.

I feel that I should warn prospective adopters that blanket bunnies are renowned for getting into mischief!  Above is a picture of this bunny’s cousins out on an adventure last autumn – you can read them about in this post.

If you would like to rehome this little fellow (the one with the rosey blanket tummy – his main body is felted cashmere), then please leave a comment below – and just for fun if you’d like, say what is your favourite sign of spring?  Yes, I will post him overseas, and the draw will close at midnight BST on Wednesday 6 April, so he will have plenty of time to travel to you before Easter.

Please may I join in, we have a new delivery due (grandchild) at the end of May and he would make a lovely addition to the nursery. (Of course we would have to keep an eye on him!)
My favourite sign of spring is the blackbirds fighting over the sultanas in my garden and carrying twigs and straw to make their nests behind my drain pipe where they go every year. Can't wait to see the darling little chicks.

Oh my goodness how delightful your little bunnies are!! I would love to win one of them, my nieces who are 7 and 11, their mom died last month unexpectedly she was only 30. They have so much to go through. A soft cuddle Bunnie would be perfect for my youngest niece:).

My favorite first sign of spring, when you see maybe one flower opening up and many buds. There is nothing more wonderful then seeing flowers start to come up out of the dead old winter ground:)

Hi, my little great grandson would just love the bunny. They would get on well together as he's always into mischief too. My favourite sign of Spring are the crocus and snowdrop. I wish we had them all year round, but then I suppose they wouldn't be so special. Blessings

I love him!! please may i have a chance to win??

My fave signs of spring have to be daffs, don't they just put a smile on your face? xx

Oh, your blanket bunnies are just adoreable!!

My favourite sign of spring has to be the spring flowers, as I type I have a pitcher of daffodils to my right and three pink hyacinths to my left.

Crocuses; snowdrops and my ultimate favourite – bluebells are all out at this time of year and they really left the spirits after a long winter….

Really loving your blog, and looking forward to my first issue of your magazine….

The bunnies are positively adorable! Oh yes, but they do look like mischief makers! How sweet!

Because winter in Canada last soooooo long, we still have not seen the end of snow yet. But what I do look forward to, perhaps in a couple of more weeks, will be for the snow to receed and crucus and snowdrops peeking up through the still semi-frozen ground. That always means the end of old man winter is near and spring can begin to shine!

P.S. I love your magazine. I'm so happy I decided to subscribe. It is truly a treat!

Thank you a lovely giveaway of one of your adorable bunnies! I love it when the crocus pop through the ground – not yet here in Michigan but soon! thanks!

My favourite sign of spring is when the blossom trees start flowering with lots of different pinks.

Oh they are so lovely, I would be very happy to rehome one.
My husband despairs of me – in the winter months when the snow is covering everything, I take out food for "all those poor rabbits", then in the Spring and Summer I complain when they raid the veg plot!

I'm amazed that you would be willing to post him over seas! Hello from the states! I love that the bunny is a "him" and plan to give him to my newest Grandson due in June.
My favorite sign of spring is when the Forsythia blooms- its bright yellow blossoms line the drooping branches, the earliest bloomer in my garden. I always call my mother when I first see it, it is she who taught me that spring is here when the Forsythia is in bloom!

I'd love to enter!! The bunny is adorable!!
Hmmm… favorites.. spring…
1. The "I will beat winter" attitude that the little emerging plants have, as they try to push up in spite of the latest round of snow,
2. Shrubs and trees that burst into purple, yellow and white blooms.
3. Throwing the windows open to let in fresh air after the long winter.
4. The wild egg hunt we have at Easter. (normally wild and Easter don't go together, but in our family there is a big competition between the girl and boy cousins, and it's loads of fun!)
I love this season!!

My fave sign of Spring is in the front of my house the Red Buds are blooming in lilac, the Lorapetalum blooming in rasberry, the Dogwood and Azaleas in white and all my neighbors cherry trees blooming at once. It's an amazing sight to see! (Love your bunnies, and I have so many things printed to make from my newsletters, thanks!)

Each Spring I get excited waiting to see which day the Osprey will return from Africa to Rutland Water near to my home in Leicestershire, it is always within a day or two of the first day of Spring, this year it was March 20th, they are amazing birds.

Favorite sign of Spring is the smell. I'm odd maybe, but I love being able to smell Spring in the air. It's so fresh after all that Winter.

Bolo heads

My favorite is the noisey birds. I heard them the other day and it freaked me out a bit, I wasn't expecting it yet.
Last year I was in England visiting my brother and I loved the bunny feilds. There was a feild next to his train station and those brown bunnies cracked me up they were so adorable.

Oh I know just the girl I'd like to give this rabbit to for Easter. Thank you for the chance.

Favourite signs of spring (spot the "s" I've added to the end of Spring)would have to be the lesser celandines in the hedgerow and the bumble bees bumbling into me as I hang up the washing.

Hi, love the latest issue and look forward to the next. Please include me in the Bunnie draw and I would say my favourite sign of Spring is the lovely yellow nodding flowerheads of the cowslips in my garden. they started off as a small plant many years ago and have now expanded into a large clump (wonder how long before I get a carpet of them).

Flowers! I love it when I see the first spring flowers popping up, I cannot wait until I see the first flowers of this spring. 🙂

I would love to have bunny come to live with me here in Maine, USA. I think he would love it here where we are currently enjoying the earliest days of spring which we call "Mud Season". My flower beds are beginning to show my favorite sign of spring which is the snow crocus. I love to see the thin blades of green poking up through the snow and bursting into pale shades of yellow and lavender when the sun hits them. They're very small but what courage they have!

Oh, he is so sweet! I'd love to give him a good home! My favorite sign of spring is when the robins come back. There is a tree across the street from my office that keeps it's berries over the winter. Some spring mornings, it is FULL of robins! : )

Lovely issue of the magazine, one again! I can't wait to brew a cup of tea a read through it more carefully.

Poor thing being left behind and he is so beautiful too. I would love the chance to win him. My favourite sign of spring has to be everything coming into bloom and the expectation of warmer weather and sunny days out.

Hi Helen! I have just been introduced to your blog by a dear friend, and I think it's wonderful! I now live in Melbourne, Australia, but only moved here from England about seven years ago. The seasons aren't as cut and dried as they are in England due to the evergreen of the gum trees. My favourite first signs of Spring? The sound of the birds singing!

Thank you for your inspiration and eye candy!

Thanks for the chance to win one of your bunnies. Here in the High Desert of Central Oregon, Spring is very fickle! I am thankful for the sound of the Spring Peepers croaking in the pond on those rare nights when the snow showers have stopped falling and the wind has stopped roaring… By the way, I love your sweet designs and look forward to your newsletter every month!

Oh, I would not mind to give the bunny a new home. 😉
I have to be honest though. It will not stay with me for long. There is a little man in my house that steals and keeps everything remotely cuddly! 🙂

My favourite sign of spring …
This probably sounds boring but I have always loved the first snowdrops! Here in Germany those are the first flowers to be seen after winter and often they bloom even if there is still snow around. I LOVE them. They are so pretty and it always seems to me like a miracle how such a tiny sweet pretty flower can bloom in the middle of cold icy snow! It makes me happy and look forward to warmer weather!

Thanks for this cute giveaway! And I think your stall looked great! Did you make all those things yourself? How do you do that?! It seems like SO much.

Love

Awww what a lovely little bunny. He definitely needs to be adopted by someone. The thing I most treasure about spring is that I am here to see it and smell it. Life goes so fast these days that sometimes we just forget to stop and share the world around us.

I would love to give the cashmere bunny a home. The bunny would be company for the one I made earlier. Who knows … they may just reproduce … heeheehee. The first sign of spring here is the return of the eagles to make their nests and raise their young.

If Bunny hopped over to my house & came to live with me he would be able to enjoy the smell of spring and the longer daylight hours in which to make things from your magazine. He may well be able to give me a bit of inside info if I get stuck! Best not to tell him I've just bought lettuce seeds tho'!
