Been a bit quiet lately!

Goodness – I hadn’t realised it had been quite such a while since I last blogged.  Unfortunately the whole of the Bustle & Sew team (that’s me and Rosie!) was struck down by a  cold virus that while it certainly wasn’t the flu, was nasty enough to keep us coughing and sniffling on our respective sofas with boxes of tissues and comforting hot drinks near at hand.  But that was last week and I’m pleased to report that we’re much better now.  The lovely sunshine (including the hottest October day for 6 years) helped cheer me up no end – I even retrieved my summer sandals from their winter storage to take Freddie and Daisy for a little walk around our village playing field….

The crunchy leaves leave no doubt that it really is October – though look at the beautiful sky – not a cloud in sight!  But even though Rosie and I have been out of action for a few days, there’s been lots going on behind the scenes at Bustle & Sew.  We’re going to be at the Bristol Etsy Made Local Fair again this year, and so we’ve been busily planning our stock, including some additional kits – a new version of an old favourite – Humphrey the Hound….

Our new version has lovely Liberty print ears.  I think that he’d make a great gift for a new baby, or baby shower, and so I’m wondering whether to offer the Liberty print in both pink and blue colourways.  Here’s a close up of those ears…..

I just love that print!  We are also considering bringing back our Spring Lamb – but this time as a winter version sporting a little vintage woollen scarf….

He’d make a great Christmas decoration too I think!  So lots to consider over the next few days.  And meanwhile, though our pre-Christmas sale has ended here on the website, we’ve introduced free domestic shipping on all kits in our Etsy store.  We have good stocks at the moment, but this can all change very quickly!  We still have our offer on our Cactus Hoops….

And lots more in-store too.  Just CLICK HERE to learn more
