The happiest of news ….. we’re all so excited!!

One or two readers have contacted me to ask if there might perhaps be a reason for one or two nursery makes appearing in recent issues of the magazine.  And I am delighted to be able to reveal that – YES there is!!

We are all eagerly looking forward to the arrival of a new family member just before Christmas, as Rosie and Dan are expecting their first baby! And this means I am going to be a GRANDMA!!  I am so excited!!  I have begun knitting and sewing of course – and I think Rosie has one or two other baby projects in mind for me.  A couple of weeks ago we spent a very happy day at the shops researching cribs, pushchairs and all kinds of other essentials, while at home she and Dan are busy sorting out and redecorating their spare room ready to become the nursery.

I’ll be sure to let you know when the new little one arrives, and meanwhile I’m sure there will be one or two more nursery makes appearing in future issues of the magazine!

Oooooh, congratulations!! Being a Grandma is THE BEST. I’m a Mema times 3 (so far) and it never ever gets old or tiresome. It’s just continuous joy in a way so different than being a parent. The very best to you and your family!

P.S. I made your Mouse Pincushion for my oldest granddaughter (age 7) and before I gave him to her, she named him Little Bit. I took a bunch of photos of him at my house in various places, or pretending to “talk to Mema”, in my pantry or frig asking for food, on a little motorcycle or car, and I occasionally send her letters/email showing these photos and telling her he visits me during the evenings while she is sleeping & returns before she wakes. She is fascinated by this, and we really enjoy sharing this magical little fantasy!

Congratulations, Rosie, Dan and all the family. I wonder what Daisy, Ben and Tilly will think to the new arrival?

O Helen, that is such wonderful news! Congratulations to all of you. Around Christmas is such a lovely time as well. Enjoy knitting and sewing for this new little bundle of joy. I loved the polat bear rug and wonder if I could have it anywhere in the house.☺
