A Winner, the beach and a Pattern Preview

This morning was so beautiful, we went to the beach at Beesands quite early.   It was lovely here today – there was sea fog at Start Point (on the left  you can see the cliffs disappear into the mist), but you can see  Beeson very clearly in this photo. The tide was high, the day was warming up and there was no surf, so it was perfect for Ben to enjoyan early morning swim.

And a little rest afterwards!!  Well, all that splashing about is very tiring you know.  I’ve been trying to train his paw for giveaway winner selection using the numbered dog biscuit method.

… but without success.   So I have had to resort to the Random Number Generator…

…. which came up with number 19 – and if I’ve counted correctly, that’s Carol from Yorkshire.  Well done Carol – and thank you for entering to everyone else – I wish I had a blanket bunny to send to all of you.  I can’t see any contact details for you Carol, so please could you let me have your details and I’ll send your little bunny off to you.  I really enjoyed reading all the signs of spring… thank you so much to everyone who took the trouble to enter and leave a comment.

And finally … a sneak preview of the next Rosie and Bear pattern for you.  This design celebrates that very special event taking place in London later this month…

Rosie is peeping through the railings at Buckingham Palace hoping for one last glimpse of the beautiful princess.  Her naughty Bear (who doesn’t care in the least about wedding dresses and bridesmaids) is tugging impatiently on her hand, eager to go and show off his smart uniform and expert marching skills to the soldiers in the parade.  I’m just writing up the pattern and will be releasing it at the weekend.

I just wanted to let you know how lovely your work is and how much I've enjoyed your photos, designs and work. I'm from the US and am currently into scrapbooking and card making. Fifteen years or so ago I was a hand sewer, doing mostly counted cross-stitch and before that crewel embroidery as a teen and into my early twenties so I have an appreciation of your lovely work. Your designs are delightful and I was touched by your special design to coincide with the Royal wedding. If you don't mind I'm going to add your blog to my favorites so I can stop in from time to time and enjoy a little trip to the UK and your work. Thank you.

The new Rosie & Bear is going to be wonderful! I adore the preview as well as the photos of Beesands, Ben and the small smooth pebbles that make up the beach. Just beautiful!
Congrats, Carol!
