Little Bunnies Giveaway for You

Phew … I have been working so hard on this month’s edition of the Bustle & Sew Magazine – the Signs of Spring Issue. It’s a proper bumper issue with two Rosie & Bear patterns, applique sewing machine cover, felt mice, weekday elephants vintage embroidery, plus articles on colour, sashiko and pressing your project.  Not to mention “Sewing for Schoolgirls” – a wonderful extract from a vintage annual of 1923!  All this for just $5.50 for subscribers!
The magazine is published tomorrow – and in celebration I thought I would offer Albert and Edward the two little felt bunnies as giveaways.  Dressed in their lovely spring outfits in beautiful pastel shades Albert (in the little knitted jumper) is up for grabs on Facebook, whilst you can enter to win Edward (very smart in his felt jacket) here on the blog (if you want to enter both, that’s fine).  To enter here on the blog, please just leave a comment below telling us your favourite sign of spring (just for fun).  Closing date is Tuesday 31 January at midnight (GMT) and the winner will be chosen by random selection.  I am happy to post overseas.
I’ll be listing all the patterns from the magazine in my Etsy shop over the next couple of days, but if you’re thinking about subscribing remember it’s a bargain – patterns worth over $16 for just $5.50!
Good luck in the draw!

Signs of spring here in Yakima, WA. USA … Well it actually looked more like spring 2 weeks ago. We had only had a couple inches of snow in November that had long since melted away. I had just commented to my husband that it felt like March weather … And then came the snow ,,, 12+ inches of it!! But this morning I did hear a sign of spring, as I was feeding our English Cocker Spaniels, Darby and Sage … the sound of melting snow dripping from the rooftop, as the sunshine brightened the morning!!

Those bunnies are soooo cute!
My favorite sign of spring used to be robins, but the past few winters they've not left, so now it's daffodils. Can you believe mine are already blooming, weird winter we've been having.

Gorgeous bunnies!
I love Spring – it's my favourite season! I like watching the leaves unfurling on the trees!

Since I live in Alaska my favorite sign of Spring will be a bit different. That would be the smell of the 'Cow parsnip' greening up. It has a very pungent smell I have come to recognize as a sign that 6 foot tall green grasses and magenta Fireweed is not far off. Spring & Summer here are a flash in the pan, it comes on very slow, grows very large very fast and is gone before you want it to be.

My favorite sign of spring is the bluebirds nesting in the bluebird house I have on a nearby tree.

How sweet and I love thinking about Spring right now! thanks for the lovely giveaway – I adore when my crocus start to peek through the snow! thanks!

Charming bunnies!!! I think the first sign of spring is when the snow melts, the weather warms up, and the spring bulbs start popping up.

Aww the bunnies are so sweet. Favorite sign of spring? When the mock orange outside my front window shows its lime green buds. x

Albert and Edward are gorgeous. My favourite sign of spring is the heads of the crocus or the opening of the daffodils when their colours start to add little twinkles across the gardens and lawns.

Such cuddly bunnies!
The early snow crocus is my favorite sign of spring. They poke up through the ice and snow in my flower beds, and the simple little flowers open in the afternoon sunlight! A happy, promising sight!

My favourite sign of spring is the appearance of daffodils in the garden. But… the last few years have seen the daffodils appearing before Christmas. Has someone moved spring and not told me?
PS Think the bunnies are wonderful!

I love to hear all the birds chirping during the day and the frogs chirping at night… can't wait (winter is sooooo long here in Canada).

What cute bunnies! Definitely better dressed than the ones I see in my garden. 😉

My favorite sign(s) of spring would be the cherry blossoms and the daffodils. Our neighbor has his daffodils planted round the base of the cherry trees so it's all pink and yellow, along with the green grass and little while picket fence. Lovely!

My favourite first signs of spring are the bulbs peeking out and the blossom on my forsythia. The birds which nest in our huge Canary Island date palm start taking any coconut fibre from the pot plants to build nests as well.
At work, it is the new mud nest built by a swallow couple each year right above the door to my classroom.
All these things tell me it is spring. Right now though, they seem distant memories as it is a very hot summer here.

Signs of the "real" Spring (because here in Georgia it goes back and forth between the 30's and the 50' in one day) The real deal is when my Red Buds start blooming. It's such a pretty show of colors.

I just opened my copy of your magazine, which is just wonderful this month, as usual!! How lovely it would be two win such a winsome pair of bunnies. What a blessing!! My favorite sign of spring is to see the daffodils start to poke up through the ground (which they have just begun to do). In a few weeks I shall have wonderful bright yellow flowers to greet the new season! Have a wonder-filled day!

Just like to say how much I enjoy hearing about your home, it's sounds so lovely. We're not going into spring but autumn but my favourite sign of spring would have to be the blossoms and budding leaves.

I love the sweet smell of the air. I live in the woods and there is an odor that I associate with Spring. Maybe that's one of the meanings of "Spring is in the air"? I have a wild rose bush that grows along my driveway and even before the buds pop you can catch a subtle smell of their soon to be splendor!
I also love the return of the swallows and hummingbirds! A true sign of Spring. =~D

My favourite sign of spring is when the ice on the lake starts to disappear. That means the boats will soon be cruising and the snowbirds will be back for the summer.

My favorite thing about spring is when the snow is gone and the ice in the pond has melted and the bird feeders get crowded again. Love these little bunnies of yours! Anne

The bunnies are adorable. It's hard to choose just one sign of spring when it is such a wonderful time. One of my favourite signs are the blue tits in the nesting box outside my sun room. They never fail having their chicks in the box year after year.

A big hug for Ben.

Fantastic bunnies I love there little pink noses they look so fresh, soft and cute. This is what I like about spring new beginning, new life all fresh and new – daffodils peeping out of the earth, snowdrops bluebells the smell of spring morning you carnt beat it and of course the lighter mornings will start to come back hippeee! I hate driving to work in the dark carnt wait to see the trees wearing their new blossom coats and the busy little birds in my garden nesting. Ah Spring !!!!

Dear little bunnikins!
First signs of Spring…the sunshiny yellow faces of the brave coltsfoot flower, which pokes up as soon as the snow starts to retreat by Mid-late March. Gill.

oh!! they are so cute, thank you for the chance to win edward! By the way, I received this month issue! I loved the Rose and bear patterns! And the book "Sewing for Schoolgirls" is fun! I have a Enid Blyton's book (from the 4 towers collection I think) that the cover is very similar!
Signs of spring…well I use to really enjoy seeing, in my grandparents house, the arrival of the swallows and the way they return to their nests but sadly, in these past years, I don't see them anymore! 🙁

What lovely little bunnies! Thanks for the chance to win Edward 🙂
My favourite signs of Spring are to hear the first blackbird songs and to see the daffodils.

I just love to see the chinodoxa coming up–such a lovely sweeping carpet of blue and white. If only my showdrops wouldn't get eaten by slugs (no matter what I do), tht would be my favorite! Edward is just too cute! Thanks for a chance to win a bunny. The only way I can post is anonymous, but I'm Delcia at [email protected]

Since i live in the often frozen snow covered land of Canada, I wait impatiently for my very favorite first sign of spring. It isn't a sign that one can see as much as hear…that of the drip, drip, drip as the snow melts under a warm spring sunshine…dripping from the roof and trees. One can practically smell spring in the air. I'm afraid that lovely sound is months away for us here but I'll look forward to it.

Cheers!

Love your blog. Just found it, and enjoying the look around. To me, Spring means warmth, taking down heavy curtains and leaving the windows open again! And I live in middle Georgia USA, where it is somewhat warm with the crazy weather that comes and goes.
Keep me in mind for the cute lil bunny giveaway.
Enjoy the day.
Kathy
